The Maccabees announce new single


A couple of years have pasted since The Maccabees released Wall of Arms but they’re now back with a splendid new single called Pelican (listen below); which features on their third album Given To The Wild (artwork above).

Pelican is released on January 1st with the album set for the 9th and if the single is the benchmark for the album, it’ll be a classic.

The Maccabees are also hitting the road in January, so go and see them.

Uncovered: New Build


New Build feature Al Doyle (Hot Chip and once upon a time LCD Soundsystem), Felix Martin (Hot Chip) and studio engineer Tom Hopkins.

Based in London, the trio will release their debut, 12” EP Misery Loves Company on their own label Lanark Recordings (Mon 28th November). The EP also features former LCD Soundsystem Pat Mahoney drumming on Guitar Man and a PLANNINGTOROCK Remix. Continue reading

Pulled Apart By Horses announce new single and tour


One of the best live bands around Pulled Apart By Horses have announced they’ll be releasing their new single V.E.N.O.M on 16th January through Transgressive Records on both digital and 7”, featuring two B-sides and their second album Tough Love is released Monday, January 23rd.

The single is their first release since working with legendary producer Gil Norton (The Pixies/ Foo Fighters).

The band is set to tour next February and the dates are listed below.
